Title: SloMo Wobbler
Post by: DaveH on October 23, 2011, 09:12:10 AM
Hi,

Here is a wobbler engine in slow motion

At least it is not a blurr

Just as a bit of info. It is running at about 700rpm, about 12 revs/second.

The real time length of the video clip is about 0.9 sec, if you count the revolutions it should be about 10 or 11.

Now wasn't that bluudy exciting

Brilliant!!!!!

I showed my wife to explain how they work...she was really impressed!

It may seem a bit trivial but these type of videos really help to explain a lot of the things we build so we can understand how to build them!

I, for one, am not good at picturing the finished item from plans; once I see it complete and working then I undertsand what the plans are telling me so I can build it a lot more easily!

Thank you for that

Andy

I enjoyed that! All 9 seconds of it.......

It's a pity they don't all run like that. I like to see the wheels going round.  :D

What's up Dave, did it walk off the bench if you ran it any faster? I had to stop it midstream to have a look at your interesting flywheel.

Don't like sad endings, at my age they make me cry.
I used hot melt glue to stop this single from walking whilst I videoed it's operation. Boring 30 secs, but sounds interesting.
