Further to my earlier post re 'New-fangled ignition coils', I have received a CDI ignition set, complete, from Messrs HobbyKing.
Well, it's almost complete - what's missing is a wiring/connection diagram. And before anyone suggests it, I have put in a request with HobbyKing's Support. They haven't yet provided anything.
So, I'm asking if any of you have used the "Replacement Complete Ignition Set for Single Cylinder Gas Engines" and if so, is it +ve or -ve ground (engine frame/spark-plug return)?
Also, can it be used with "points" instead of the Hall-effect sensor , supplied with the kit? How?

Thanks Jason, that's exactly what I was looking for.
Now I can try to get some coughs and bangs from the engine.

EDIT, have a look at Maury's post in this thread, seems you can trip them with points.
