a filing project

hi all i was given this vice sum time a go so i decided to clean it up if i was at work i wood have just gone over it with the surface grinder but i had to settle with a file and its still square next thing to do is the slide and vice jaws

 Hi Bob, I love to see hand tools used.  I went through a stage when younger when I used power tools for every job.  Then I became interested in hand tools, and use them whenever practical. I like the feel and accuracy you can achieve, and I find it much more satisfying.

Is your vice a drill press or a milling vice. Nice project. That was the way a man was trained to start with. If he could master that he moved on, if not he got the boot. Nice work looking for the finally.

hi its still on gowing as to the type i beleve it to be a vice to be used on a surfice grinder normely nown as a tool mackers vice when you served your time its one of thows things you make i hope the maker of this one improved as time whent on will post mor pics i had to replace the tope of the scruw that a taches to the moving vice jaw and make a new plate as bin biz with other things so its bin shuved to one side

hi sos for the delay a part from hardining the new vice jaws its all dun i wil cheet with the jaws as they need hadening and i will grind them flat and grind them to sise when ther back on the vice pics
