Mad Modders' UK Time - Is It a Bug or Is It a Feature? |
(1/3) > >> |
Pete W.:
Hi there, all, Mad Modders is telling me that the time is 06:20:21 PM but my computer and our radio clock are telling me that it's 17:22 GMT (I'm in the UK). (Allow the couple of minutes for the time it's taken me to type this.) Does this one hour discrepancy result from my setting up my profile incorrectly?   We're not due to change to British Summer Time for another week yet. Oh, and by the way, thank you, Mad Modders, for my 2013 birthday greetings but you were a day late! :bang: :bang: :bang: I think :mmr: , I benefit from and enjoy all the advice and encouragement I receive and taking an interest in other Mad Modders' projects BUT this time discrepancy thing bugs me. |

Pete, Not quite the issue you have, but what is bugging me is that "06:20 PM" doesn't exist in my book. It is either "6:20 PM" which is time for a gin and tonic and described in the 12 hour clock , or "06:20" which is time for a soft boiled egg and coffee just after getting up in the morning and described in the 24 hour clock. Thus "06:20:21 PM" is neither fish nor fowl . Incidentally, with the slight discrepancy above allowed for the forum time shows correctly for me on this post |

You just neeed to tweak the settings in the profile section. It is possible to get correct UK date settings, viz day month year, and a correctly reading 24 hr clock. Pete |

Huh  Here I sit Downunder never realised the site mentioned time at all. So, now that I have looked I see the time is reading 3:30 AM when it is actually 6:36pm Eastern Daylight saving time here. Nuther thing I have leared from this site, not sure how useful it is but. |

Frankly, it is all daft! :hammer: I can vaguely recall that Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Vernal Equinox. If it is cloudy- bang goes another year! :loco: |
