Hi Pete, you must know your soldering irons  , yes its a Solon iron, proper old 'made in England' quiality 65W 110 Volts, its never been used or even had a plug fitted by the looks of things as you say £1.50 is a bargain
Hi Bob , I thought they were special, you should start a DTI museum lol
  Cheers Mick

Pete.:
Just a couple of bits today, but very pleased with them. I got a rack of long metric sockets for £4 and a nice profile gauge for £2. The gauge is something I really need I could have used it half a dozen times in the past month.

       Hi Pete
The profile gauge is is a great item, and has got me out of many problems. It has  saved me so much time in the past and really accurate.

                                                    Cheers David

AdeV:
None of the car boot sales I've ever been to ever have anything like this... Lots of knackered radios, home furnishings and dodgy underwear - never any decent tools.

I'm very jealous - although I do hate getting up at dark o'clock on a Sunday morning to go ferret out the good stuff.

Ginger Nut:
Ok I didn't go to a car boot sale but these did come out of a car boot and dropped on my desk  :D where son works has combined with another merchant parent company and they were tossing these out.
