Brazing hearth air pressure |

Meldonmech:
Hi Guys Anyone know the air pressure in psi to operate a brazing hearth. Cheers David |
John Rudd:
Depends on the gas being used (propane/butane/nat gas)and the gas pressure......gas jet size comes into it too.... |
Meldonmech:
Hi John I have a Reil type burner, using propane gas and a jet size of 1mm dia. The gas has a variable pressure control, and the air intake is varied by a shutter on the venturi. This unit has been excellent for melting aluminium in my furnace. I have aquired a new centrifugal fan used for a combi central heating unit, and would like to build a brazing hearth based on the furnace burner but with air pressure, to give me a more variable and hotter flame. Thanks for your comments. Cheers David |
