I have a few largish circular saw blades to sharpen - most are plain carbon steel, but some are carbide tipped with the inevitable missing tips. They range from 12" up to about 27" and in the bigger sizes are remarkably expensive.
Has anyone experience of brazing on new tips, and if so what was the source of the carbide?
I'm going to have to make an outrigger attachment for my Clarkson T&C grinder to sharpen them, so re-shaping the carbide with a suitable wheel shouldn't be too much of an issue.
