bjf66:
Happy New Year everyone I was goofing around on the web and came across some of the postings on crucibles, and found it interesting reading If I can help anyone in any selection for crucible products I am happy to do so. I actually work for the manufacture "Morgan Crucible", although the name has now changed to MMS, however Im a foundry guy and if I can help with any technical issues, please drop me a note And if you having trouble sourcing product we can put you in contact with someone in your country which stocks product and can help you. cheers |

Welcome aboard bjf66 So where are they made now? Not still at the old Morgan Carbon factory in Battersea where I was offered an apprenticeship many decade ago as that's long been flattened and 'developed' ! Andrew |
NormanV:
I remember the old Morgan Crucible factory. I used to walk past it everyday on my way to school in Battersea High Street. I used to wonder what went on in there. |
DMIOM:
They also had a plant in Neston - never visited it but one of my greatest RNR skippers, Jim Ellis, was a manager there in the 1980s. Dave |
