Hiya Jim,

Welcome to the collective :borg:

Sorry to hear about the bike, but it looks like the shed came along nicely. I haven't played airsoft (yet, there is a spring Beretta in the closet) though I did paintball in the early 90's. Lately my son and I have been playing tag with Nerf guns. I have been reading a ton about the modding scene for it...

Back to airsoft. Have you scene this: Bots with airsoft guns... My son wants to do this.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the welcomes!

I've got a few things burning a hole in my brain whilst i am supposed to be doing the day job...

My other half bought me some of the hemingway kits for Christmas and my birthday last year... so i have a rear parting post to build, a filing rest and the slotting/keyway attachment.

I've also got an inkling to make a gearbox for the lathe... I am forever changing thread pitches and also needing the fine feed... i had an idea of splitting the fine feed off to a separate motor or stepper allowing me to have separate limit switches etc to make it more repeatable without having to fully cnc... but the banjo and gear carriers are wearing out, and can be noisy, so i really want to crack on with something there...

Too many ideas and not enough spare time!

Oh and the airsoft robots look awesome! Again i'd love to make something like that as well...

Hi Jim

Welcome to MadModder, like the shed you built there, looks nice and cosy.
