hello all

dawesy:
Hi, im lee from Nottingham.
joined after watching vids on YouTube by John (doubleboost), really like the vids and the way he shows how to do things in simple terms.
just got my first lathe, its a bit on the large side and unfortunately i cant find any info on it.
its a Churchill Redman CM lathe (7-CM). brought from ebay for the princely sum of £225. so far ive stripped it down and removed the 5 layers of paint (the last i swear was just household gloss  :bang: )
heres a pic from the advert

cant wait to get it up and running and making chips.
need to sort out the motor first though as its an old unit and 415v 3 phase and being as its installed in my home workshop i only have 240v single phase. this shouldnt be an issue other than the motor plate is missing so i dont know what size etc the motor is.
the other thing i could do with help on is the cross slide and compound dials, the numbers and markings are missing so need to get these redone but unsure of the best method for this  any help appreciated.
looking forward to learning tips and tricks from you guys
