I bought another lathe!!!
« on: November 17, 2013, 12:57:30 AM »
I hope I can find room for it in my shop..

... a little Flexispeed,  I guess it will be a few days before the Postie pedals down our street with the crate balanced on her handlebars..

From Tony's site:-

I think it will be a nice companion to my Adept!

Hi John

At least you don't have to find a lot of room, just a tiny wee bit should do.

Cheers

What an amazing drive to the feed screw - looks like a nice 'bedroom lathe'

It looks absolutely tiny. Held down by philips head woodscrews.  :bugeye:

But, using a carbide knife tool.......

Hope it's all you hope for, John!

I am sure it will look just fine cleaned up and put on the shelf.   It probably wont get used much if at all as I have an Adept (also sitting on the shelf) and a Sherline.

The Sherline is in nice condition except the 3 jaw chuck is rather comprehensively munted and I have not yet plucked up the courage to buy another chuck (3 or 4 jaw) for it as they seem to be rather spendy, but if I had a chuck for the Sherline I would use that for any tiny jobs that come along.
