Mine had rubber rubber washers behind the bolts, it was all soggy to adjust. I removed them, when it's slack enough to adjust, it lowers, so you have to compensate, adjust lower, then tighten, re-check, try again and if your lucky you might get it right on the third go!

It's certainly better than no quick change!

Hi Bob, Looking good :thumbup:  , a neat job as usual, glad the slide was the one that fitted your lathe , you will be glad you spent the time doing this once you have a rack of tool holders all loaded up  :drool: and will be doing your turning jobs in half the time

No rubber was much better than gooey! I'm busy with my dividing head at the moment. Curious to see what you come up with.
