DaveH:
I started this Roller Bender in 1998. I finished it last year ........ so I'm a bit slow :) . 14 years doesn't time fly :) The design is from the book 'The Model Engineers Workshop Manual' by Geo.H. Thomas. I bet Fergus OMore will like this, albeit not a lot  I changed the design slightly just to make it easier and quicker for me to make. I certainly could not improve on the design. The top roller is removable so closed rings can be made. This is why I made these rollers in the first place to make some copper rings  DaveH |
DaveH:
Although it was not finished it was usable and I made 100's of those rings. It didn't have a proper handle so I decided in a rush of blood to the head to make one. This was the makeshift handle I used for about 10 years or so. DaveH |

Dave, I have exactly the same build. Mine in some ways took longer and in others MUCH shorter. Shorter as I said Yes when asked if I'd like it :ddb: Longer in that a friend's brother made it not long after George Thomas wrote the article  |

How long do you figure it would have taken you to build it if you had not redesigned it to make it quicker and easier?   Looks like you did a good job on it. :D :D Cheers  Don |
