Hi to everyone on here. Thanks to David (stilldrillin) he has invited me to this forum and im happy to see at least two familiar names. I bought my first lathe about 4 months ago and now hitting a huge learning curve. my main interest is in live steam locos and im in the process of building my first and at the same time learning to turn out a bit of metal. It has been great fun so far but I still have a long way to go. Cheers Graham in Brisbane Australia |

Hi Graham, A big welcome.   Everyone should have a project to do, whether large (as in your case) or small. I am sure the lads on here would love to help you on your journey of learning that faces you. :zap: John |

Hi Graham Welome aboard, pleased that you into Locos, one or two of us have an interest in locos so you're in good company, :borg: you may have read my Project on building a 2-4-0, what loco are you building ?. When you get yourselfe sorted some pics would be nice. Building a loco is a bit of a long haull I've been at it on and off now for about 18 months, its nice from time to time to do something else for a little while. :proj: The main thing is to keep going back to it as you'll get it finished eventualy, one guy at our club spent 10 years building a 5" gauge Dutchess now that's a real beast of a loco. If I can help in any way all you have to do is ask The important thing is to have fun Cheers  Stew |
