Oh alu swarf.. *points towards the metal casting section of the forum* ;) I actually went to the scrappy and bought a 200L drum of ally swarf, cost me a 6 pack of beer and he was happy not to having to handle it. =) |

I'm not sure how much swarf I actually have - I need to find a light person to hold the bag (my bathroom-type scales just say "overload" if I stand on them + the bag of swarf :palm: so it's at least 10kg). Unfortunately, the scrap price of 10kg of aluminium shavings is about £5. It'd cost me more than that just to get to/from the scrapper... Looks like I'll have to build myself a furnace... |
