Yet another excellent video John :-) The quality is superb, good editing keeps it interesting and the odd touches of humour are great.( nearly p'ed myselfnat you in the cyberman mask :-) ) Your decision to include the mistakes (while removing any examples of poor practice) is absolutely correct in my view. Honestly, they are some of the best machining videos on YouTube. Keep up the good work :-) Bill |

Hi there, John, I agree with all Bill wrote. I'm following your videos of this project (and others) with great interest. You said this one was an experimental machining. Does that mean it won't necessarily be complete? Do you intend to machine the topside of the 'proper job' casting around the mounting slots? I have one of the little machine vices that Beeston Myfords sold to go with their vertical slides - the upper side of the mounting slots had too much draft angle to allow the securing nuts to sit level so I spot-faced them a bit bigger than a 5/16" BSF washer. |

Thanks for the kind words The top of the mounting slots will be spot faced I will be fully machining this casting until it is finished or a bugger it up John |
