Im guessing the bronze bushing is binding onto the not so smooth roundbar.. i would prolly suggest a chromed bar or something alot alot smoother.. or why not a bearing? There is cylindrical bearings that size.. |

Linear bearings are available in a variety of sizes. I had a similar idea and now that iv'e seen this at least i know it'll work. Mike |

Nice. in fact its so bloody simple it's delightfully elegant :Doh: You have me thinking now............. instead of the bronze bushing you could use a ball bushing on a hardened & ground shafting and the connector on the headstock end could be a spherical Rod_end type bearing without the rod.
