Hi John, I'm planning on going on Saturday (other commitments on Sunday). Not been to this one before but I thought I'd give it a try. I'm also hoping to go to Chelford in August, but I'll see what the weather is like nearer the time. I went to the Chelford rally last year for the first time in about twenty years and was surprised (and pleased) how little it had changed in that time. Gary |

Our local engineering group (WDMES) have their track next to the field and run train rides for the "kiddies" during the event. As a member I may be there on the Sunday absorbing the excess of tea and biscuits these events always generate... iirc last year the ground was so wet that none of the traction engines could get onto the field and so the only steam to be seen was from us and the tea urn! Looks good for this year though. |
