Being ignored
<< < (2/3) > >>
Brass_Machine:
Happens a lot.

I imagine the majority of time, it is not on purpose. I try not to take offense (or give it)... the written word is just such a confusing way to communicate. We are missing the cues from body language etc. It doesn't help if people skim instead of fully read too.

Did it happen here?

I find it infuriating and down right rude.......

To the point where I've posted..." ok I'll just butt out"

Yeah, that's happened to me. I think I've done it to other people as well. I can assure you that, if I have, it is entirely accidental & no malice intended.

Hi John

I guess it happend to most of us at one time or another

some time your good advise doesn't match their expectations and is ignored

You know the saying -
"you can lead a hourse to water but you can't make him drink "

Eric, fortunately no....on another well known forum beginning with H.........
I find that there is a great deal of cameraderie on here even tho' there's a lot of p*ss taking thats meant in the best possible taste
...and I think thats perhaps that some of us know each other personally having met at various exhibitions...
Pete.:
I don't mind it actually. Quite often I find that the same thing said two or three different ways teaches me something I would otherwise have missed, or promotes a thought process that leads me to something else just as productive.

Not worth getting upset about - life's too short.
