When was it John? Never been to that one. Dad said Barnard Castle was a bit disappointing this year, I was on hol.

Looks like it was a grand day out, John.

I must try to get to the Astle Steam Fair in Chelford, Cheshire. Years since I've been. Last time I went, they ran a (full size) traction engine tug-of-war.

In the '70s, our office cleaner (an elderly widow) was amazed to see the steamroller her husband used to drive passing our office in Wilmslow on its way to Chelford, towing the van they slept in when she accompanied him on pre-war faraway jobs.
