A couple of slip rings, batteries in the base, and you can maintain your reputation. Simple realy !!!!!!!

come on, who needs batteries  :proj:

There'll be rotary motion once the engine is being given the finger, so how about affixing some magnets and wind some (lots of?)  fine enamelled wire ... or fasten a tiddly pancake stepper to the flywheel and hold its shaft steady, then use the the stepper's windings to drive some of the LEDs ....

Erm, this is getting out of hand!

This incarnation will be good old boring and basic... There maybe a light up version in the future...?

For now, a quick search Search for Dickybird on goggle images led me to this little beauty that I remember Milton showing me a while back...  http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_5370694/anchors_5439047/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#5439047

It's the generator incarnation I'm showing you  :)
