Ralph, the silver soldering was a great concern that only hit me fully after I made the first set of fins without holes! Then once I'd figured a method out it took a while for all the bits to come together.
Generally I'm very pleased with it... Just need a bit more practice with the silver solder IMO :borg:
John, Glad you like the arty pic :) Took me an hour or so to get it right!
The white light reflected in the nose cone is my torch on the ceiling.... Taken on a 10 second delayed shutter in the pitch black apart from the rocket and me flashing the torch light on the ceiling 6 or 8 times.
took about 80 pic's :loco: But worked eventually.... :ddb:

It just looked like a Flash Gordon rocket... Well it did in my head till I looked up "Flash Gordon rocket" (it has 4 fins and a more involved body design)
Then I realised via goggle, it looked like many others besides! TinTin's destination moon rocket and Buck Rogers' XV-3 and loads of others too... But they wouldn't allow for the snappy title to the thread :lol: Still, a bit of fun all the same :thumbup:

Absolutely bonkers on how the mind works. Over the past couple of weeks I have been playing Queen for my son... Including that theme just a few days ago!
