Just One Of Those Days

Meldonmech:
Hi Guys,
Just one of those days, picked up the barrier cream, unscrewed the top and the whole lot shot over the lathe. Things don't  always go well in the workshop, need a brew to calm me down!!!

                                                                         Cheers David

Bad luck. Why does the toast always fall butter side down?

I gave up with barrier creams and now use blue nitrile gloves - can do most things in them except tiny screws!

Look on the bright side -- it wasn't pumiced hand cleaner, or thread locker.

Wasn't the layout blue disaster of 2012, either - been there, still got the stained t-shirt...

Hi there,

I had a layout blue disaster recently.  I needed to drill some holes in a diecast aluminium alloy box.  Got my bottle of layout blue down off the workshop shelf and painted the blue onto the box using a brand new brush.

Did something else while it dried.  Trouble was, it didn't dry but stayed tacky.    :bang:  :bang:   :bang:   :bang:   :bang:

I'm sure it was OK last time I used it, maybe I washed the brush with a little methylated spirits and put that into the bottle instead of discarding it.  (I've found in the past that several washes with a little meths each time uses less meths than an inundation!)
