What is that sitting on the bread machine box??    Looks like a large tail section.

Did you use Monokote on the planes?

R.G.Y.:
Haveing been an aero moddler in the 1950's (I was 10 1n 51) through too 1972 when I went full size. I have dug out photos of a few of my planes. Built from Brian Taylor plans, balsa covered in solarfilm (silver). this was so when the paint got scrached it looked like metal. All these had flaps, retracting undercarrage, as well as the normal controls. Note three spitfires, 27mg and CB radio ment they never lasted long, except the Corsair that lasted 2 years flying most weekend.

Oh, that?

The full size UL Heath Parasol replica fuselage, you mean? The one with the stack of wing ribs and rudder frame under it? And the Hstab and Elevator on top? Oh that old thing...

I painted the model planes. The covering on the full size one would be aircraft dacron.

Probably won't ever finish it, now.

RGY, great planes!!!! Those are some of my favorites.Very well done!

I remember 27 Mhz gear. My first Mambo had it with an escapement. Crashed into bits about a minute into its first flight. I stayed out of R/C for about 40 years because of early disappointments. Only rediscovered the it and actually learned to fly a few years ago.

DICKEYBIRD:
Beautiful models vt!  R/C models were an obsession for me from 1980 to 2005; before a buddy sold me his lathe.

That comment tickled my funnybone.  If outrunners are old fashioned, my geared Leisure 05 "can" motors must be absolutely prehistoric! :D

They were the cat's meow back when I got my 1st one in 1983 along with a 6 cell nicad pack with the "red" cells.  Electric power has come a long way since then.
