hi i am looking for plans for steeper motor mounts for a 7x14 lathe and a mico lux mill one of my freands tell me use a nema 17 the other says use a nema 23 i know nothing a bout converting a lathe and mill to cnc. i have been studing cad and cut4d if someone would help me i would be forever thankfull thank you richard westerfield |

Hi Richard Not sure just what you want re: 'plans for mounts' ?? If you want the standard frame dimensions, they are here, amongst a lot of other places. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=nema+stepper+motor+sizes&qpvt=nema+stepper+motor+sizes&FORM=IGRE The frame size alone does not tell you all you need to know re: the motor characteristics. You can get a lot of very different motors with the same size frame. However, I suspect that is not all you want so you'll have to be a bit more specific. Dave BC |
