A little something for the rail buffs out there.
Study In Steel – 1935 London Midland & Scottish Railway – Watch the “Princess Arthur of Connaught” being built

Produced by The London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS). They take us into the Crewe workshops to watch a Princess Royal Class steam locomotive being built. The locomotive seen during the film is no. 6207 and was named “Princess Arthur of Connaught”.

That would not be Consett steel would it lad? I was there in 1981. If it is do you know a family named Hunter, a Paul Hunter?

I was born and raised and still live in Crewe and a lot of my relatives worked in the loco works, I've watched it through a couple of times to see if I can spot any of them. And the shots of the forge are particularly memory raising, as I was born in "Forge street" that backed onto the works forge in my Granmothers house, and some of my early memories are of hearing and fealing the ground shake as the drop hammers did their work.
It makes you feal proud when you see what your town was once capable of doing.
