Small furnace build |

Hi everyone I made a video about a small furnace build that melts cast iron using propane. This furnace may be useful for some one wanting to melt small amounts for models etc. The ceramic came from off cuts from larger furnace builds and the paint came from Cast metal services in Australia, it is called "Zircoat W" 25 kg pack. I have watched the video, and I am well impressed with your filming and design. Many thanks, I think This is a way to go. Trev :nrocks: :nrocks: |

Nice video. Nice casting. My 20l oil drum A5 furnace is similar, just with Anon's hot face over the Kaowool. How long did it take to get the iron to melt, and how long did you keep super -heating before pouring? |

Just the size I was thinking of. Thanks for sharing. John |

Iron starts to melt in five minutes and after the last iron is added I give it ten minutes to make sure the iron is hot enough to pour. |
