Nice work, Ksor. In the 1960's I did something similar on the aluminium instrument panel of a 1940s car, with an electric drill in a stand, a little felt polishing mop and some abrasive paste. But it was aluminium, and soon looked dull, even though I varnished it.

I've cut the end off it twice, but it's still too short

What type of brush do you use?
Never used cutting paste which is the same as grinding/lapping paste. Always did it dry.

A trick if havent a jig or means of controlling the pattern is to overlap it. If following a pattern, the one slightly out will stick out like a sore thumb.

It's really 'engine turning' which is worth a Google- or more.

Blow up the pictures - some sort of (plastic) abrasive felt - for polishing your kitchen sink - dobble sided sticky tape for carpets - and a drill press !

nice job ksor,
I followed the youtube link and could watch the Guilloche at work all day and not get bored, such a simple yet brilliant machine.
I would love to have a play with one.
Turns out this life c**p is just one big distraction from death but a good one. For the love of god dont give yourself time to think.

Nice work ksor, she should be plenty happy with that.

Guilloche's work is almost unbelievable, I could have that same machine and my art work would look like stick people done by a three year old.
