The young barmaid, whose knowledge of news extends no further than OK! and Hello! magazines, picked up on the conversation and asked in all seriousness: "Did he jump off the moon?" I'm married to a blond. While she's no dummy (BS in math), she sometimes makes statements that make me face palm. :palm: A while back I was watching a documentary on the Kursk. Russian sub that sank after a large underwater explosion. Those with a knowledge of history will know that the sub was named after the battle of Kursk, in which the USSR defeated a major German armor attack in WWII. Anyway, wife comes in and watches for a moment. She then says, "What did they expect, naming the sub "Cursed?" I never let her forget that one! |
