Ross:
Hi everyone, I ordered this electric glow starter for my little wonder engine, unfortunately it turns off automatically after 20 seconds. Despite the seller saying it does not. Before I return it for a refund, can anyone think of a way to bypass this timer? I can't really get a look at the circuit board without dismantling the cover so I wouldn't be able to return it. Or does anyone know a supplier of one of these without the timer? |
Bluechip:
Ross Send it back. Even if it was frigged to work continuously, it could well fry it. I doubt very much if the Chineeeeeeeese have built enough quality into it to stand any abuse .. Dave |
John Rudd:
Point out to the seller that it states in the instructions it turns off after 20 secs... It states that in B&W step 3 above and says if starting not complete to press again in step4........... :coffee: |
Ross:
Thanks guys for your advice I will contact the seller . I'll try and find and alternative in the meantime |
Ross:
No worries, the sellers told me that the 20 seconds starts from when the button Is released. The power stays on if you constantly press it. Problem solved. :headbang: |
