Not sure if others have posted this before but I found this entertaining:

Tigtorch,
It worries me that with both of your links a flashing warning tells me I have a Windows error; and an invitation to 'click here'.
No other link I have used on this site (or any other) does that.
Can anyone else confirm this is happening to them ?
Dave.

I get advertisement icons that I can not click off.

Doug's site is safe enough, but he has been trying out some.new.ads that may be triggering the warning;)

The single link as currently posted works perfectly for me without adverts or odd messages.
Running a MAc with OS 10.6.8, Sophos anti-virus, and the Safari browser with the pop-up blocker engaged.

Worked well in Firefox with Adblock plus (and pop-up addon). Haven't tried it in Google Chrome or IE (and have no intention to either)

Working fine now, I haven't changed anything. The warning has gone.
