Nice one(s), Eric!

Many years ago, Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire.......

My first day as a Flag Marshal........

My first "bit of excitement"......

The first words, of a green faced, high sided rider. Just after opening his good eye.........   :palm:

Didn't know you did flag marshall. I never have. Now, swmbo has. She did some volunteer work for Keith Code (of twist of the wrist fame) on the flags.

Been down more times than I like to think of.

One day I will get on the track. I have a track bike I am aquiring parts for.
AdeV:
I said similar things every time I crashed the race car - the marshal comes running over to see how you are "I'm fine, hows the car???"

David - I've raced a few times at Cadwell park (tintops, not motorbikes, you've got to be some shade of crazy to go round there on a bike), it's easily my 2nd favourite track, only narrowly pipped by Oulton Park. The Gooseneck and Mountain are probably the best bits, Hairpin is quite entertaining too, as I usually arrive at it sideways... Happy days, we didn't go there this year unfortunately, hopefully it'll be back on the calendar next year.

Ade.
I was a member of Batley Motorcycle Club during '60,s & 70's.

Loved Cadwell. Never raced.
But thoroughly enjoyed several rides out to Marshal position, on my Bonnie, and later,  Lightning.......

Ahh Cadwell, that brings back memories, mainly of A&E at Louth Hospital.

I was that well known there, I used to get Christmas cards and knew all the nurses by the first name.
My one regret was that I have very few decent photo's of that time when racing, mainly because no one took pictures of the St John ambulances

Prescott hill climb 1969, me in the chair, the white on my shoulder is off the wall on the last corner. Sidecar drivers always think they are riding solo  :loco:
