And Welcome!
SwarfnStuff:
Hi RGY,
So, a rough old carpenter eh! Well I spent many years chucking stuff in a vat, boiling it with various other stuff to hopefully get the colour the customer wanted. (bucket chemistry) I am sure that there are many and varied ex something or others in this group and our collective know how gets the job done. My avitar btw is a model paddle steamer I made from the offcuts off my son's pool deck refit plus other bits and pieces.

Thank you all. The model is 48-1 of the Glen Usk (P&A Campbell's White Funnel Fleet 1914-1964). Powered by a Chedder steam plant & sailing on a scale draft of only 1.5" I had trouble with stability. ( I didn't know any different in 2001) I solved the problem by mounting the batteries on a servo arm, and move the weight to compensate, like an aileron control on an aircraft. My latest model is of the Duke of Devonshire ( Exmouth Peir & dock Co 1896-1965) the build has a thread on the Paddleducks web site this has my own engine & boiler. Geoff
