Harrogate Model Engineering Exhibition
NickG:
The guy sat on his traction engine is my old mate Eddie - a clever bloke. All of his engines are free-lance and made off the cuff! His workshop is an amazing place - some of his machinery was still powered by a line shaft when I visited many moons ago! That engine did have proper wheels etc originally but he put those on for a more comfortable ride. Everything is very nicely proportioned and he didn't use many castings, if any, most of the stuff you see is fabricated by him.
The show was great, just sad it's over for another year :(

Ralph,
Nice video. Ever think of videography as a occupation. Excellent takes.
I have to say you Britts are into your model building. Makes me sad to see that so few over here are into this type of model building.
Thanks to you who went and toke the time to take those nice picturres and present them here for the world to see.
Regards,
Bernd

Wow, those are some impressive pictures (&vids) from all of you. Thanks so much! It looks a lot like our Cabin Fever Expo we have here in the states... Without the large steamers outside though. A lot of fun.
Bernd... we have to get over there.

I wish there were more people interested in the traction engines over here, but sadly that'll never happen. :(
