Harrogate Model Engineering Exhibition
Divided he ad:
Erm.... Well I don't think I have that much.... Some were Very blurred (no flash), also spent much time talking!!
How are these?
Another view of an old favourite.
A 25CC opposed piston 4 stroke engine, based on a motorcycle engine.
A 40cc 90deg V twin cross type rotary valve engine.
I didn'y shoot the card for this one!! But it's a very nice looking engine IMHO.
A 1/4 DH Gypsy 1 engine.
An Elliot bat tripple expansion launch engine.
The newest addition to the Stirling stand.... The builder of these engines told me that they are all his own design and run on incandessant bulbs within the wood or black housings.... Quite ingenious if you ask me!
A rolling road for testing your loco?!
One of my favourites.... Works in a very cool way.... An Atkinson gas engine
This link kinda shows how it works.... http://www.dself.dsl.pipex.com/MUSEUM/POWER/unusualICeng/atkinson/atkinson.htm Long power stroke made even longer on this engine due to it's opposed pistons.... Very crazy and cool!
Something by some bird called Cherry Hill... Anyone ever heard of her? ...Apparently one of her first engines... Dated 1957!!!
A vandergraph generator... Actually powered by a stirling generator on the other end of the bench!!
Some boats for those of you who like em!!
A nice little cast racer...
Some people have a lot of time patience and skill!!!
Some people make the strangest things!!
For those of you who don't know what that is...A V1, Doodlebug!!!! Just hope it is not completely accurate model!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V-1_flying_bomb
Still my favourite engine of all the shows..... I just really like it..... Gonna try a similar one one day :)
And finally for the stills...... Mine will look a bit better I hope and I will not be using parts out of a bog (no not a Boggie... A bog/toilet!)
Video's to come!
How was that lot ?
Ralph.
bogstandard:

Very nice indeed, now just getting the feel of things.
BUT

--- End quote ---
I don't know if you are trying to wind me up, or that you are just ignorant of the fact that she is one of the best model engineers that this country has produced in recent memory. In fact, she has been honoured for her work in model engineering.
