Thanks Pete distance from house is not a problem it is at least 12 metres away I am planning on 2.3 metres to eaves and then 3 metres to apex. from what I have read on the planning portal your allowed 2.5 to eaves and a maximum of 4 metres for dual pitched roof (which I assume is /\ style) and 3 metres for any other type of roof, but as I dont need 4 metres i will stick to 3.

The shorter distance means I dont have time to forget about what I was going in there to do...but I do forget sometimes... :coffee:

Boy did that few weeks stretch out, to be fair i had enough a while ago but with the weather There was no point buying the panels to sit there and soak up the water.
Anyway finally ordered them and fingers crossed they will be here for this weekend, so if i get lucky with the weather I can buy the timber needed this weekend and finally get to work :D

bloody fuming who would have thought that you would have to chase people to sell you stuff?
The people I planned to buy the panels from have given me the run around so no panels yet looking around for somewhere else to sell them to me.
might be just as well though judging by the weather forcasts.
