This posting is evoking lovely memories of some 30 odd years ago.
I boxed a junior hacksaw, small hammer, assorted nails and wood offcuts as one of my son's Christmas presents......  :D

He loved it! And still remembers.......

Even though his practical skills now, are much less than they were then.........   :bang:

Santa delivered a framed woodsaw (where the blade had been replaced with a fine teethed metal hacksaw), the usual set of tools (excluding the sharp edged ones), a hand made wooden mallet (the one that should be used on wood chisels, but ..) and

hear! hear!

a battery powered screwdriver with drill chuck and bits!!

- "Pity he forgot including the bandsaw!"   :bugeye:

Giving me great ideas for my daughters up coming birthday.!!   Nice going guys, great idea.

The only secondary changes I`ll have to make is to paint the handles pink.

Chris, this is a bit off Stephen's topic, but you could buy your daughter this

to get her toolkit started.

Have to confess that I gave one to a lady friend whose age I it would be churlish to disclose, and she was delighted with it...
