hi all rather than by the expensive activator you can yous methylated spirits to do the same thing you will need a atomiser spray bottel when the wife is not looking get one of her perfume bottels the type you is after is the self repealing ones ie they don't have gas in them and yes i have tried with the perfume it smells nice but Du's not work as well as meths Du's a play the super glue then spray it gos off as the meths evaporates

How does that work? Do you have to mix it in? Presumably it causes it to expand??

and although I've not tried it meyself, I believe it to be sandable...

I've used the baking soda trick. I usually fill the gap with liquid glue then sprinkle the soda on and shake off the excess.

Or, spackle the gap/fillet with baking soda first, then add some drops of the thin super glue and it will "wick" through the powder and turn it solid afer it dries.

It's a great way to add strength to T type joints.... a fillet on either side will increase strength by a factor of several times.
