Another race car...
Bluechip:
Strewth, Ade, that's a bit inconvenient :(
As an ex-company car driver, I do have some familiarity with Armco Rash ... I feel for you.
Bruised ribs are damn painful, especially when laughing
Might I suggest a discreet snigger and two Ibuprofen instead ...
Get well soon ..

AdeV:
Ooh, I forgot, I've still got some codeine left over from my pneumonia, that might help, better not operate any machinery though...
micktoon:
Sorry to see the car in that state Ade, what a pisser :palm: , I can cast my mind back to seeing a couple of MK2 RS2000's I had in that state :( , I rebuilt a couple of times until I got sickened ................. I only wish it was like the film 'Christine' ....... the one where the old Chevy ? kept rebuilding itself :med:, it looks like a bit more of :dremel: this for you though Ade.
The new car will be better as you will have all the little things that could be better done, I suppose you have to look on the bright side at times like this , you're more or less ok ................and you didnt smash the sump
Good luck with the rebuild Ade ,
Cheers Mick
jgroom:
Ouch!!! Good to hear you were only bumped and bruised. I'm sure the old gal will be back better than ever!
BTW: Christine was a '58 Plymouth Fury. Always wanted one of those.....
Cheers
Jeff
AdeV:
Thanks lads, all sympathies should be directed towards the car; the accident was unfortunately pilot error in this case.
Jeff, IIRC the "original" Christine (as written by King) couldn't exist (he described it as a '58 4-door); they are beautiful cars though, there was an exceptionally nice one on eBay a little while back.
I've got a hankering for a '65 Lincoln Continental just now.... preferably a soft top (the hard top version was used in The Matrix), depending on how expensive sorting the racing car out is, and a few other projects, I'd quite like to import one (export from your point of view) next year...
