Gear cutting with a shaper
«

Someone (guilty) had too much time on his hands today...
Found: One document explaining how to cut a true involute gear wheel of any number of teeth, using a shaper & a single cutter.
Now all I need is the shaper....

There was a long thread on the
http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/Metal_Shapers/
group about ten to twelve years ago, John Stevenson was involved, a very interesting thread!
