Steve, some interesting stuff here. http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net/showthread.php?t=28112 John S. |
kwackers:
Cheers for the link John, some more ideas in there. Plus some googling hints which have thrown up even more! Time for the CNC MkII... |
raynerd:
I was just going to come and update my other cnc thread with my attempt of a gear which failed due to the material slipping from my double sided tape - again!!! Reading the link you sent John, those little clamps look excellent, just a pitty the dfx file of it is no longer active!! Anyone any more details of these cam like clamp downs? Steve-didn`t you make something similar a while ago and post it here...I can`t find it! |
kwackers:
Not quite. Mine rotated freely, they'd simply splinter the end of the glass since they apply way too much pressure. All you need to do is draw some spirals in your cnc software and machine them out, he's simply holding them in place by tightening the screws pretty tight. You could easily use circles with off centre holes and do the same. |
John Stevenson:
There was another post on these clapms where the DXF is valid, also some other variations. http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net/showthread.php?t=35438 John S. |
