 Hello all...Just joined this site although have lurked for a little bit. My interest are currently static models...learning all I can to make functioning ones later when skills improve !!
 Tools on hand...
  7x16 mini lathe
  G0704 Mill
  Drill press
  loads of hand tools

You have some nice machines. I am jealous of the g0704!

Why only static models though? There are some things you can build that aren't just static that will allow you to work on your skills.

 The biggest reason for static models 1st is to use them a plans for running ones. I make some parts for my bike as well. I'm still learning...it will get there with time and practice !!
