The inner seals on my Jeep's Dana 60 axle were old and leaking. Since I also needed to get the ujoints rebuilt, it was a good opportunity to replace the seals as well. After breaking it all down, we couldn't get the locker out of the axle as it was too tight a fit. The solution here is normally to use a case spreader, which will widen the axle case by a few thousands. However, the axle has both a truss and a bracket for a steering ram that would prevent a commercial spreader from mounting properly. So here's the booty-fab solution:

The seals got pressed in with the press tool as shown. I turned the diameters to fit both D60 and D44/D30 seals. The shaft is just a length of 1/2" all-thread with a nut loc-tited on.
