I have just one thought. Not trying to learn all your secwets but.... How does the crank mechanism ratchet?

I'm just guessing it has to pump then freewheel?  Never really thought about it till I saw your model!

I have some small needle roller clutches that would work that way. But they're 1/2" far too large for such a machine.

Thanks.  It really isn't that fast -it's a product of the video host. Just play the "previous" frame then play "next" again and it slows down some.  I'll try to post a more worthy video.  Yes, it pumps half of the cycle then freewheels the other 180degrees.  A racheting mechanism would be ideal, interesting and challenging.  Ralph

Hey Ralph, it works on the same priciple as the "finger machine" Bog's built, except it (pump trolley - intersting name) has no flywheel.
