I'd poked my head in here a few times and liked what I saw. It reminds me of a different site, but seems to actually be friendly.

Anyhow, I'm fiddytwo, and a long-time machinist who shares a little machine shop with my dad. We have a 16x40 lathe, Bridgeport, and 6x14 surface grinder. Lots of tooling too, and I don't mind sharing or giving lessons.

My background is 30 years of working in machine shops, now doing something related but not running machines everyday. I see a lot of people here who I know and know me from other sites. Since I seem to be history at one, I thought I add a new one.
