It looks as though you have got somewhere with the symbols problem, Eric. I've had a look at the new posts which have appeared, and those threads no longer seem to be showing the little boxes which were replacing some characters. For me, the glitch seemed to be mainly with apostrophes and the pound sterling signs, so here is a test: John's mother hasn't got flu. In British pubs, beer can cost anything from £1.80 to £3.50 per pint. Thanks again for all your efforts. Andy |
