Bernd:
Well, you need winter projects and then you need summer projects. :D

I have a couple of summer projects lined up so I just want to add one more.  :)

Ok, back to the coke bottle engine it is.   :headbang:

Excerpts from a fake Wiki page that my friends made at the forum where I moderate:

rleete is well known for starting a project every 43 minutes. Unfortunately for those around him, he only completes a project every 3 millenia. Experts predict that by 2012, all of Rochester, New York will be buried in a 35 foot thick pile of refuse originating at the Leete household.  Is often heard to utter, "anyone wanna help me build a ...?"

Most Likely Cause of Death: Self-inflicted wounds stemming from a combination of astonishment at actually finishing a project, and twelve square feet of 60 grit sandpaper.

Bernd:
My turn. How about some pictures of your finished engine?  :poke:  :poke:  :poke:

So that's what that pile is when I look into Rochester.

What finished engine?

Okay, I'll post some pics.  Look for a new thread, coming soon.  Maybe I'll just assemble it, and finish the polish later.

I can't get the paint on the base to come out decent.  It's PVC, so I'm using a plastic paint (which I believe is enamel), and it just isn't turning out well.  Sanding is a pain, because it easily gums up the sandpaper.  I just about had it where I wanted, and when I turned the can upside down to clear the nozzle, I blasted a bunch of dust onto the surface.  Doh!
