Blew my stuffin' mill motor, grrrr.
« on: January 06, 2012, 08:30:06 PM »
24 days of holiday and the damn thing cooks a winding 2 days before I go back to work. Looks like the binding came adrift and the coils wore through the insulation on one turn. Up in smoke in the blink of an eye. Humbug..

Aah well, I have a spare mptor, bit less powerful but still good enough and a better quality too. Also got a set of variable-speed pulleys to fit onto it so I guessI can kill two birds with one stone and get that done too.

Not good pete but at least it`ll give you a push to fit a new motor and the pulleys!

Typically, half way through fitting up my mill and the handwheel on my lathe is freewheeling now without moving the carriage.
