A little project leaving you all a glow.... |

Got all my stuff to make one last week but I`ve been trying to get this inverter working, I`ve not had chance! OK...I need to get my arse in gear! Nice Job Steve! Chris |
Brass_Machine:
Trying to find some small clear tube here in the states... is that tube you are using solid? |
raynerd:
Eric, this might sound mad, but I`ve found my tube. The clean clear end of a bic biro or if you want something thicker, a gel pen!! Mine is waiting to be cut! Chris |
raynerd:
Thanks for the idea Ralph, it was a great little hours project that I whipped together after many weeks of doing work to my machines and general maintainance gearing up for my next big project. It didn`t turn out perfect and it could be made a lot better but I thought I`d try and come up with something a little different. By the way, the tube for the powder did come from the clean end of a pen! Infact, I took it from a cheap gel pen and there was at least 30mm + free clean ends on some of them!! Chris |

New take on the idea there Chris  Very ingenious use of the pen and parts :smart: Nice use of a thread cut too! Don't you just love the way they glow? :headbang: I've just walked in from the workshop now... 02:15 on a school night! Been teaching/guiding a friend on my machines cause he wanted to make one of the keyrings... Aluminium bronze is an interesting material to work with! I also forgot how long it takes a nervous newbie to do everything  Turned out quite attractive in the end though... I have not got any pic's of the build at all! But he has so I'll get hold of them and post a couple next week. Right, time for some ZZZs Ralph. |
