Some Nice Castings
(1/4) > >>
sbwhart:
Pick these castings up at the clubs annual auction.

They are off a loco inside valve loco, no one new could say which one though, also one cylinder cover is missing but that can be easily fixed, they have a part number cast into them its 3/102 anybody recognise them.

No one wanted them, but I think they were looking at them as loco cylinders, but the more I stared at then the more they stared back and said make me into a twin cylinder vertical marine engine.

Got them for £1  :D :D :D :D

Hi Stew

I'm sure you will make something gorgeous from  them.

X / XXX  for a number is vaguely Reeves-ish. ??

I've identified the castings with the help of Dick over on Model Engineer site. They are for Martin Evans 3 1/2" gauge Rob Roy Reeves are selling a set for £90 :bugeye:------------------- what a bargan

Mind you if i do make them into twin vertical marine engine it will be a bit of a beast with 1" bores and 2" stroke, I think I'd have to build a model Titanic for them to go in  :D :D :D :D
